4.15am
She struggled to stay awake the whole night but failed to. She gave in when she saw the girl sleeping next to her slept soundly.
She jumped up in the middle of the night and it was 5 minutes before her mobile phone, which happened to be her alarm, rang. She closed her eyes again and waited for the alarm to ring.
5 minutes later, the alarm rang. She got up and tried to make as little noise as possible so she wouldn't wake up the girl who was sleeping soundly. She made her way to the bathroom and showered in cold water. It was 4 in the morning when she got out of the cold shower.
She looked into the mirror. 2 hours' worth of sleep made her look horrible. Her face was pale. She had blood-shot eyes. Yet, she didn't feel like putting on any make up.
She stood in front of the mirror and contemplated if she should put on contact lenses like she had planned to the previous night. She decided not to- she was sure she would sleep on the 75minutes bus journey to the airport. She'd put on the lenses and some make up after she'd checked in at the airport, she thought.
Half an hour after she got up of bed, she sat down on the chair, switched on her laptop and started blogging.
The count down started:
45 minutes- leave for London Victoria Station.
1hour and 15 minutes- leave for Stansted Airport.
4hours and 30 minutes- leave for Glasgow.
She said a little prayer. She prayed that her travelling partner and her would have a safe journey and would not encounter any problems throughout the trip.
