Palma
The cathedral..We rented a car and drove to Palma, the capital of Majorca, on the third day. The weather in Cala Millor was so bad. There were no boat trips, no swimming allowed in the sea and of course, no sun bathing. After arguing for some time (because I just couldn't make decisions, damn it!) we just decided to rent a car and drove to Palma.
It was pretty easy to drive to Palma as road signs were clear. The journey took about an hour. But on the way home, it wasn't that easy. We stopped several times to ask for directions. People were friendly and we got to Cala Millor safely, and most importantly, on time. I never thought I'd go on a road trip, albeit a short one. =)
There are more things to see and do in Palma but the beaches are not as nice as the one in Cala Millor/Cala Bona. The Islamic influence is quite prominent in Palma. The Cathedral looks very promising but we didn't have enough time to explore the city as we had to return the car by 8pm. The only cathedral picture was taken when I was in the car. -_-
Next up: Barcelona! =)
